DoI Need A Visa to Visit Hong Kong?
我去香港需要签证吗？
HongKong provides visa exemption to certain certificate ownersfor any purpose of visiting, and visa/ entry permit to citizens(ordinary passport holders) of 170 countries. Otherwise, youneed to apply for and get a visa to go to Hong Kong asrequired. Note: A Chinese Visa is not valid for visitingHong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, which are considered as third regions fromChinese mainland.
香港为某些证书持有人提供免签证访问，并为170个国家的公民（普通护照持有人）提供签证/入境许可。否则，您需要根据需要申请并获得签证才能前往香港。注意：中国签证对访问香港、澳门、台湾无效，这些地区被视为中国大陆的第三大地区。
HongKong Visa Policy

HongKong SAR (Special Administrative Region) operates a differentvisa policy from mainland China, which includes visa-freeentry and visa-required cases as well. The visa-freerule varies from nationality, and permits in-equable duration of stayaccordingly. If you’re required to obtain a visa/entry permitto visit Hong Kong, you shall apply for a right visa type based onyour intention.
香港特别行政区实行与中国大陆不同的签证政策，包括免签证入境和签证申请。免签证规定因国籍而异，并相应地允许在同等期限内停留。如果您需要获得签证/入境许可才能访问香港，您应根据自己的意愿申请合适的签证类型。

Thereare many kinds of visas/permits setting for different kinds reasonsof visit to Hong Kong. The most common Hong Kong visas include VisitVisa(for travel/transit, working holiday, HKSAR travel pass,pre-arrival registration), Employment/Investment Visa (forGeneral Employment Policy, training, imported workers, technologytalent admission scheme, etc.), Study Visa, Residence andso on. Each type requires specific application documents.

Tips:1.) If you will go to Hong Kong for tourism, you shall apply for aHong Kong Visitor Visa (Tourist Visa), if not meeting visa-freepolicy. 2.) Hong Kong Work Visa (Permit) is only issued to skilledforeigners satisfying in certain programs, like GEP (GeneralEmployment Policy), Tech TAS (Technology Talent Admission Scheme),etc. 3.) Whether a Hong Kong Transit Visa is exempted depends on thevisitors’ nationality.
小贴士：1.）如果你要去香港旅游，如果不符合免签证政策，你应该申请香港游客签证（旅游签证）。2.）香港工作签证（许可证）仅发放给符合某些计划的熟练外国人，如GEP（一般就业政策）、TechTAS（技术人才准入计划）等。3.）香港过境签证是否豁免取决于游客的国籍。

Aslong as you meet one of the two following visa-free situations, youcan enter into and visit Hong Kong without a visa. Check the twooccasions to figure out if you can get visa exempted.

(1)Holding any of below documents allows you to enter Hong Kong withoutvisa or entry permit for any purpose.

(2)Citizens of 170 foreign countries (territories) may visit Hong Kongfor a visa-free stay from 7 days to 180 days.

Thevisa-free access to Hong Kong only applies to aliens holding ordinarypassport of the below listed 170 foreign countries and territories.The permitted duration of each stay is different for differentnationals. Bear in mind that the visa-free entry is just valid forvisit for sightseeing, conducting business activities, attendingconference, participating cultural, arts or sport events, andvisiting relatives and friends.
免签证进入香港仅适用于持有下列170个国家和地区普通护照的外国人。对于不同的国民，每次停留的允许时间是不同的。请记住，免签证入境仅适用于观光、开展商业活动、参加会议、参加文化、艺术或体育活动以及探亲访友。
Howto Get a Hong Kong Visa?

Forthose don’t holding certificate or passport from170 foreigncountries or territories mentioned above, a visa/entry permit isneeded to travel to or transit in Hong Kong. Thus, each applicantshould prepare and submit related application form, photos, visa feesand supporting documents to the Immigration Department in Hong Kong,or Chinese Embassies in foreign countries, and other authorities.Visa-free visitors who will stay beyond the entitled visa-free periodand want to establish, join in any business, study, training andcommercial activities are also required to apply and obtain a visafor Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Visa we introducing refers to HongKong Tourist Visa.
对于那些没有上述170个国家或地区的证书或护照的人，前往香港或在香港过境需要签证/入境许可证。因此，每位申请人应准备相关申请表、照片、签证费和证明文件，并提交给香港移民局或中国驻外国大使馆等机构。在规定的免签证期限之后停留的无签证游客，如果想建立、参加任何商业、学习、培训和商业活动，也需要申请并获得香港签证。我们介绍的香港签证是指香港旅游签证。

◆A passport which are valid for at least 6 months and hasblank visa pages;
◆有效期至少为6个月且签证页为空白的护照；
◆A completed Hong Kong Visit/Transit Visa ApplicationForm (applicants shall fill in FormID 1003A & sponsor shall finish Form ID 1003B)
◆填写完整的香港访问/过境签证申请表（申请人应填写表ID1003A，担保人应填写表ID1003B）
◆Two recently-taken photos, and one should be attached on theapplication form ID 1003A;
◆两张最近拍摄的照片，其中一张应附在申请表ID1003A上；
◆Photocopy of applicant’s passport/travel document, includinginformation page with full name, nationality, date of birth, and visapages with records.

◆Travel related materials, including round-trip flight tickets, hotelreservation, documents proving purpose of the visit (invitationletter), tour plan, etc. For transit, proof of continue visiting tonext destination is required.
